Great beer garden, with plenty of seats and heaters for them cold winter nights.
It has a upstairs restaurant with very good food!! Burgers are a personal favourite in here. The food is very reasonably priced. And good sized portions. If you don't fancy going upstairs you can also sit in the downstairs bar, or even outside in the summer days.
It has a very good pub quiz night on a Wednesday, always a great laugh and brilliant atmosphere. Great prizes to be won also. And they used to do a karaoke night on a Thursday, so would be worth checking out if they still do that because it was always a great nights craic!! -

Not bad little bar. You get the classic Irish bar scene in the front, and a nice peaceful sitting area in the back. Lines were as long as the Mississippi. Drink prices were pretty normal. I could definitely come back here sometime. Not a bad first Irish bar experience

My husband and I came for a drink and dinner and we're definitely not disappointed. We had the fish pie and deep fried Brie. Best food and drinks in town!

Donegans in Bangor, great menu and good prices. Unfortunately, on a Sunday evening they had managed to run out of half the menu, steaks and burgers were completely off the menu and other items were close to gone. I can only assume that this was a 'one off' occurance and so shouldn't hold it against them.
The place itself is in need of an overhaul. The place has a very old fashioned feel, and has tables that remind me of an old schoolhouse. Two TV screens dedicated to sports and a 3rd that shows music videos to accompany the music being played. The beer garden is probably it's biggest draw, with a spacious seating area that will attract many during the summer months. Nothing outstanding from this place but it has a charm all of its own. -

Decent pub grub presented a bit nicer.
Had a generously sized sirloin and a mound of onions and champ that was beautiful (then again you can't really do too much wrong to a steak) but rest of food was average. I ordered garlic prawns to start and actually just got the scampi that was being served for the mains but it was nice enough.
Upstairs is a lot nicer than downstairs and has old antiques and mirrors everywhere and was actually very nice, I was surprised actually having frequented downstairs for many years.
Service was great as always and attentive considering it was busy Friday evening and there was only two people waiting tables.
